Branford Looking to Hire a Firefighter/Paramedic

CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE POSITION OF FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

Town of Branford Fire Department
Date of Notice: September 26, 2016
42 hours per week - $47,430.14 annual salary
Applications will be accepted until October 31, 2016 at 4:00 pm

Essential Functions:
To protects life and property by performing firefighting, emergency medical aid, hazardous materials and fire prevention duties. Maintains fire and medical equipment apparatus and facilities.

Minimum Required Qualification:
Education, Training and Experience
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Copy of valid driver’s license
2. Valid Emergency Medical Technician Certification or Paramedic License
Special Requirements
All candidates will be required to have a valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) card prior to hire date. The Branford Fire Department considers CPAT cards to be valid for no more than twelve (12) months.
Selection Guidelines:
Preference will be given to candidates who possess a valid State of Connecticut or National registry EMT Paramedic License.
