Branford Man, 45, Charged With Sexual Assault Of A Minor
Thomas Papa is facing 8 felony charges including sexual assault, sexual abuse, and enticing a minor via computer after a long investigation.

BRANFORD, CT — A 45-year-old Branford man has been charged with sexual assault and sexual abuse of a minor among other charges, according to police.
Thomas Papa was arrested on a warrant "stemming from a lengthy investigation which began in June of 2020," Branford Deputy Police Chief John Alves told Patch.
Papa was charged with four counts of second-degree sexual assault, two counts of commercial sexual abuse of a minor, one count of enticing a minor by computer and risk of injury to a child. All eight charges are felonies.

Court records show the alleged offenses occurred as far back as September of 2019.
Papa appeared in New Haven Superior Court Aug. 5 and according to Alves and court records, was held in lieu of $250,000 bond. But state department of corrections records do not have him listed as being an inmate.
