Branford Man Breaks Into Relative's House, Threatens Them: Police
Police say the accused took a taxi to the house in Orange and didn't pay the fare either.

ORANGE, CT — A Branford man is accused of taking a cab to an Orange relative's house, forcing his way inside and then verbally threatening to kill those inside, police said. Officers responded to a house on Avon Drive on Feb. 18 at 10:23 p.m.
Police say Mark Ciancola, 61, of Branford took a cab to a relative's house and tried to go inside but the homeowners didn't want him to enter. Ciancola then forced his way into a rear porch and was "yelling at the people inside the house, saying he was going to kill them, just as officers arrived," police said.
Police said he also didn't pay for the cab ride and officers added a charge of larceny for the unpaid fare. He is charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny, disorderly conduct, second-degree threatening, and second-degree criminal trespass. He was initially held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
