Branford Man Killed in Accident on Route 15 in Hamden
The incident occurred Tuesday night with no other fatalities being reported.

A Branford man was killed in a crash on Route 15, north of Exit 59 in Hamden Tuesday night, Connecticut State Police said in a press release.
According to police, Richard Kaczynski, 36, was driving in the left lane of the highway and hit the side of a car while crossing into the right lane. Kaczynski’s vehicle then crossed into the shoulder and crashed into the woods, where it flipped on its roof and caught on fire.
Kaczynski was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the second car, Matthew Sette, 32, of North Haven, was not injured. His car sustained minor damage, police said.
According to NBC Connecticut, the northbound side of the highway was closed for several hours. Police cleared the scene at approximately 11 p.m.
