Branford Man's Accused Murderer Attending Competency Hearing Monday

Dr. Vajinder Toor, a Yale University physician, was killed outside of his Branford home in 2010.

It’s been five years since Dr. Vajinder Toor was murdered outside of his Branford home, and his accused murderer, Lishan Wang, 49, will attend a hearing Monday to determine if he’s competent to stand trial, NBC Connecticut reports.

Wang is accused of fatally shooting Toor, a Yale University physician, outside of his home in April 2010 and it’s alleged that he also shot at Toor’s then pregnant wife, who was not injured.

Wang and Toor had a dispute two years prior when the two men worked together, which led to Wang’s termination, NBC reports.
