Branford Police Department to Conduct Diaper Drive
Each police department will be a drop-off location for diapers and baby wipes to benefit Bare Necessities, Inc. from Feb. 1-Feb. 16.

Beginning February 1st and continuing through February 16th, the police departments of Madison, Guilford and Branford - along with Clinton - will be conducting the Shoreline Law Enforcement Diaper Drive to benefit Bare Necessities, Inc.
Each police department will be a drop-off spot for diapers, and baby wipes.
According to Bare Necessities, the need for diapers is an issue that has an effect on public health, employment and maternal mental health. Families need between 6 and 12 diapers daily. Failure to have enough diapers mean that children are forced to remain in soiled diapers longer than appropriate leading to diaper rash, staph infections and urinary tract infections.

Items such as diapers and wipes are not covered under SNAP (food stamps) or WIC (Woman, Infants, Children). Therefore the shoreline police departments are asking for the assistance of all residents in collecting these items for families in need.
Donations will be accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days per week in the lobbies of each police department. For more information, visit the Bare Necessities website at www.barenecessitiesct.org
