Branford Police Holding 'Tip A Cop' Event For A Good Cause
All proceeds generated from the event will be donated to support the athletes of Special Olympics Connecticut.

BRANFORD, CT – An event that is one the whole Branford community looks forward to is coming up – Tip A Cop.
This year it will be held, as always, at Lenny’s on Monday, June 5th, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Officer Joe Herten, who coordinates Branford’s efforts, proudly states, “We currently hold the longest running Tip-A-Cop in the State of Connecticut.”
In addition to lunch and dinner specials offered by Lenny's restaurant and Branford Police Officers will be volunteering their time waiting on tables, serving food, and raffling off several prizes that have been donated by many local business in the Town of Branford to those who attend the event.

“We are working on getting some entertainment for all those that attend, and if Lenny's can get a large lobster, a few of Branford's finest will be eating a 10-13 lobster during the lunch time hours,” said Herten.
Branford Police was recently recognized by Special Olympics CT, for raising the most money in the state at a Tip-A-Cop event.
Herten added: “We are hoping to make it 2 years in a row.”
