Branford Police Investigate Infant's Sudden Death
A citizen bystander attempted to save the 10-week-old male infant.

On Sunday morning at 7:55 am, the Branford Fire Department along with the Branford Police Department responded to an apartment in the Briarwood Lane Apartment complex for a report of an unconscious and unresponsive infant, said Deputy Fire Chief Ron Mullen in a press release.
When Fire Department personnel arrived, they found a woman performing citizen bystander CPR on a ten-week-old male infant. Fire department personnel took over CPR efforts and also administered advanced life support measures.
Tragically, the lifesaving efforts were not successful and the infant was pronounced deceased at 8:10 am., Mullen said.
