Branford Police Officer's Act of Kindness Goes a Long Way

BRANFORD, CT — When Branford police officer Michael O'Connor purchased a cup of coffee for a woman in line at a local coffee shop he wasn't seeking any attention for doing so.

But the officer's gesture left such an impression on the woman, Claudia Mathieu, that she posted about it on social media and Branford Police Capt. Geoffrey Morgan shared it on his Twitter account.

Mathieu said in her post that the officer's actions "touched her heart" and was just what she needed after a long day.
