Branford PZC Votes on Costco's Development Plans
The retailer is hoping to build a new store off of Exit 56.

Round 1 to Costco, but two more rounds are upcoming.
The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 3 to 2 Thursday evening to approve Costco’s master plan, but the retailer still needs approval from the Inland Wetlands Agency, and a return trip and vote by the zoning commission, reports Steven Mazzacane of the Branford Seven.

Costco is seeking approval to construct a 160,000-square-foot facility on the majority of a 44-acre parcel off of Exit 56.
Costco’s application was submitted back in February and created a lot of conversation amongst the town at public hearings, but the overall consensus is mostly in favor of the plan, Shore Publishing has previously reported.
