Branford Residents Come Up Big During 'Give A Cop The Bird' Promotion

BRANFORD, CT – Residents donated 140 turkeys and 815 pounds of food during this year’s “Give A Cop The Bird” promotion, according to Police Chief Kevin Halloran.

Halloran reported those totals at the recent Board of Police Commissioners meeting.

This past holiday season was the second one that police officers and the Branford Big Y staff collected turkeys and nonperishable food items in front of the Big Y store at 1075 West Main Street.

The turkeys and food were donated to Branford’s food pantry and Community Dining Room.
