Branford Residents, School Community Invited To Nominate Branford Public Schools 2026 Educator of the Year

BRANFORD, CT — Residents of the town and members of the school community are invited to nominate a Branford educator for selection as the Branford Educator of the Year. The educator selected will represent the District for the 2026-27 school year.

Tenured educators who are in good standing are eligible for nomination. A nominee should be an exceptionally skilled and dedicated member of the BPS Community. Nominees should exemplify best practices in the Branford Public Schools and inspire the love of learning in their students. The educator selected will be honored in Branford and serve as Branford’s candidate for Connecticut State Teacher of the Year.

Parents, students, peers, and all community members are encouraged to participate in the nomination process. Nominated teachers will see their nominations, but you may remain anonymous when nominating. If nominated, educators will have the option to apply for the Educator of the Year.

The deadline for nominations is April 2 at noon. All nomination forms must be received online at that time.
