Branford’s Mike Olt Hits Game Winning Homerun
Olt is a member of the Boston Red Sox AA minor league affiliate.

PORTLAND, Maine – Branford’s Mike Olt hit a walk-off, two-run single with two outs in the ninth inning as the Boston Red Sox AA affiliate, the Portland Sea Dogs beat the New York Yankees AA affiliate, the Trenton Thunder 6-5 on Sunday.

It was Olt’s third hit of the game. One of his earlier hits was a home run.
In 14 games for the Sea Dogs, Olt is hitting .213, with two home runs. He has batted clean-up and played most games at either first or third base.

The Sea Dogs are in first place in the Eastern Division of the AA league, with a 9-5 record.
Olt, a former first round major league draft choice after graduating from the University of Connecticut, was signed by the Red Sox before the season started.
