Branford Serial Burglar Charged
Branford police say a suspect has been charged with several burglaries and larcenies in town.

Branford police say they have arrested a serial burglar who they say is responsible for numerous burglaries and larcenies in the Pawson Park neighborhood.
While investigating a suspicious vehicle parked in the Cherry Hill Commuter Lot on Commercial Parkway at about 2:30 a.m. Monday, Officer Amber Radomski found and arrested Shaun Meserole, 34, of 105 Sunset Beach Road.
Meserole was taken into custody on four outstanding arrest warrants, each stemming from burglaries and larcenies throughout the Pawson Park neighborhood, where Meserole lives, over the past several months, police spokesman Capt. Geoffrey Morgan said.

Information leading to the arrest warrants was developed by Officer Christopher Cope.
Officer Cope, working with Detective Patrick Moynihan, was later able to obtain a search and seizure Warrant for Meserole’s home where stolen items, including kayaks and power tools were located, police said.

Police Chief Kevin Halloran said, “This investigation contained a great deal of investigative effort by our officers, that in turn has solves a number of burglaries and thefts in one of our neighborhoods and I expect additional arrests in the future.”
Meserole was charges with three counts of sixth-degree larceny, two counts of third-degree criminal trespass; twocounts of third-degree burglary; two counts of fifth-degree larceny, and 1 count of third-degree criminal mischief.
He was held in lie of a $13,500. When arrested, officers located both narcotics and a handgun inside of Meserole’s vehicle.
He was additionally charged with possession of narcotics; carrying a gun without a permit and weapon in a motor vehicle resulting in an additional $2,500 bond.
