Branford Woman, 55, Struck By Car, Dies From Injuries: Police
Friday night, a woman, hit while crossing E. Main St. near Windmill Hill Road, was seriously injured, taken to the hospital where she died.
BRANFORD, CT — A Branford woman has died after being struck by a car Friday night, police said.
Eve Marie Angot, 55, was hit while crossing East Main Street near the intersection of Windmill Hill Road, police said.
Branford police and Branford firefighters performed life-saving measures on the scene, and she was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment of serious physical injuries, police said. But she has since succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital, police said.

"Our condolences are with the families and friends of Eve Marie Angot during their bereavement," police wrote on Facebook.
The South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit responded to the scene and will be continuing this investigation. The police department would like to thank several citizens who stopped to render aid, despite not being a witness to the accident.
