Branford Woman Found in Possession of Heroin in Naugatuck: Police
Police stopped the car just before 3 a.m. when they made the alleged discovery.

NAUGATUCK, CT - A Branford woman and a Salem man are accused of possessing heroin and cocaine in Naugatuck, police said in a report.
Police said at 2:53 a.m. on June 3, officers were conducting a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road.
Police said Linda Barboza, 40, of Obrien Drive in Branford was a passenger in the vehicle and Evan Kammerer, 30, of Chestnut Street in Salem was the driver.

Investigation determined that accuseds were allegedly in possession of narcotics, police said. Barboza was allegedly found to be in possession of 18 grams of heroin. Kammerer was allegedly found in possession of 28 grams of cocaine, police said.
They were each charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kammerer was also charged with DUI and failure to grant the right of way.

Barboza was released after posting a $5,000 bond and Kammerer was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
