Branford's Hiring for a Part-Time Position

TOWN OF BRANFORD POSTING HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE POSITION OF PART TIME INTAKE ASSISTANT TOWN OF BRANFORD SENIOR CENTER
$16.98 per hour, maximum 19.5 hours per week

Essential Functions:
The purpose of this position is to assist Center staff with energy intake, rent rebate, and other social service intake as needed. This is a part-time position. Seeking candidate with social service experience and knowledge of local and state energy and assistance programs that serve Seniors.. Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced office environment.

Minimum Required Qualification:
Education, Training and Experience:
Qualified applicants would possess a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in social services or related field. Previous experience working in a social service position preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.

The Town of Branford reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be considered for the position.

The files of all qualified candidates will be maintained for a minimum of six months from the announcement date, and the qualified candidates will be considered for the same or similar positions which may become available during this timeframe.

All candidates must successfully pass a post-offer medical examination, which includes a substance abuse test given at the Town's expense.

The Town of Branford conducts background investigations for all positions prior to hiring. Refusal to sign the release form will terminate the candidate from further consideration.
