Branford's Main Street Lunch to Close

BRANFORD, CT — Main Street Lunch in Branford, which was opened 30 years ago by Lou Ditolla, is closing on Dec. 30, according to Ditolla and his sister Dee Remmey.

The lunch and breakfast spot was once popular with local lobstermen, but has seen business tail off in recent years, report the New Haven Register.

Call it a sign of the times, with the shop's older clientele moving away or dying off, and younger families preferring Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts and only coming in on the weekends.
