Branford's Mike Olt Dealt a Setback Before Opening Day
He went from possibly making the Red Sox to a new minor league baseball assignment.

BRANFORD, CT – Local baseball star Mike Olt’s Red Sox assignment has changed right before opening day in the minor leagues.
Olt, signed by the Red Sox several weeks ago, has been reassigned to the Portland Sea Dogs, the Sox Double A franchise in Maine.

Originally signed to a minor league contract for the Sox, Olt was scheduled to play for the Triple A franchise in Pawtucket.
Olt, 28, a graduate of the University of Connecticut, has hit 16 homers in his major league career.
