Branford's September 11th Remembrance Ceremony On Video, Not Live
Due to the pandemic, the town says its annual September 11th Remembrance ceremony was pre-recorded and will play on Facebook Friday.
BRANFORD, CT — Friday is Sept. 11. A day held with reverence and often filled with ceremony.
This year, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the town says, its annual September 11th Remembrance ceremony was pre-recorded, in accordance with proper safety protocols.
"As we look back to the events of September 11, 2001, we remember the bravery, courage, and sacrifices made that day and the days that have followed," a town flyer reads. But there will be no gathering on the Town Green.

Instead, the pre-recorded ceremony will air at 8:30 a.m. on BCTV or Facebook.com/MyBCTV Friday and will be rerun throughout the day.
