Busy Day: BFD Handles 16 Calls Including Car Fire, Medical Emergencies

BRANFORD, CT — Branford's bravest had a very busy Friday.

Starting at 8 a.m., Branford firefighters and paramedics responded to 16 incidents from a "minor" bedroom fire around noon on Leetes Island Road, Fire Chief Tom Mahoney told Patch, and a car fire on I-95.

And of the 16, 12 were medical emergencies and of those, 10 required transport to area hospitals.
