Situated between Massachusetts & New York, both hotbeds of activity during the American Revolution, Connecticut’s role in the war is often overlooked. Using the state’s memorials, statues, & landmarks as touchstones, Richard Franklin Donohue will detail what happened in Connecticut during the revolution, explore how the state’s patriots participated in the movement toward independence, and how these events have been remembered for 250 years.
Richard Franklin Donohue is a singer, private music instructor, and historian. He is the Town Historian of his hometown of Cromwell, Connecticut and has been the President and Program Director of the Cromwell Historical Society for twenty years. He is the author of "Rosetown Review," a monthly history article published in the Cromwell Life newspaper and presents historical lectures throughout New England on a wide range of topics.
