group meets the first Tuesday of every month to have a non-judgemental, 
civil discussion of various titles that are being challenged and banned,
 both locally and nationally. The purpose of this book club is to 
simultaneously discuss these titles, and to bring awareness to the rapid
 rise of book challenges and bans. The St. George Men's group&nbsp;(<a href="https://stgeorgemensgroup.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">stgeorgemensgroup.org/ )</a>&nbsp;invites you to an unforgettable evening featuring international cuisine from more than 13 countries. Members and friends from the St George community will be preparing their favorite family recipes and cultural specialties from around the globe, creating a evening filled with great food, fellowship and community spirit.
Doors open at 5:30 pm --- 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.&nbsp; Tickets are available at the door!
Your admission includes: a sampling of international dishes, refreshments and desert!
Proceeds for this event will benefit Chloe’s Closet.
Chloe’s Closet is a division of Guilford Interfaith Volunteers (GIV) that began in March 2026 to provide pediatric medical equipment and support to children and families in need. Modeled after the success of Charlie’s Closet, the program helps families access essential equipment regardless of financial circumstances.
Chloe’s Closet was created in honor of Chloe Negron, who sadly passed away in January 2025 from a rare disease. Through Chloe’s legacy, the program aims to bring comfort, support, and hope to families facing difficult medical challenges while continuing GIV’s mission of “Neighbor Helping Neighbor.”

Branford Scouting (Cub Pack 633, Troop 633/1633 & Venturing 633)

Branford Scouting has been building citizenship, leadership skills, and a spirit of adventure in youth for over 10 years, serving ages 5–20 through four dynamic programs. Through experiential learning, Branford scouts experience adventures from ice climbing to sailing in the Florida Keys, with campouts all year round for our older scouts. Our commitment to country is reflected in where we meet—serving our veterans at Branford’s VFW Post 12106—and through meaningful experiences like our recent trip to Washington, D.C., where scouts participated in the Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery and presented a wreath in honor of our fallen heroes. Our younger Cub Scouts also demonstrate patriotism by marching in parades and placing flags at cemeteries, just like their older peers. They enjoy fun and discovery at weekly meetings and through memorable outings, such as an overnight at the Norwalk Maritime Center, sleeping aboard the World War II battleship USS Massachusetts, and exploring the EcoTarium museum. This year, our Cubs will experience an evening at the New England Air Museum. Branford Scouting services the town of Branford and well beyond.
