The Branford Road Race is proud to announce that Acrisure has been named the Title Sponsor of the annual community event, marking the next chapter in a partnership that has spanned four decades.
Having supported the event as a sponsor for 40 years, Acrisure’s expanded role as Title Sponsor reflects a longstanding commitment to the Branford community and to one of Connecticut’s most cherished running traditions. Moving forward, the event will be officially known as the Acrisure Branford Road Race.
Each year, the Acrisure Branford Road Race brings together thousands of runners, families, and spectators for a celebration of fitness, community spirit, and charitable giving along Branford’s scenic shoreline. Traditionally held on Father’s Day, the race has become a meaningful annual tradition for many families within the Branford community.

This year will mark the 45th annual event, with more than 2,000 runners and walkers expected to take part in the 5-Mile Race, 2-Mile Health Walk and 1-Mile Mark Gilhuly Family Fun Run on June 21st. The Acrisure Branford Road Race proudly raises and donates thousands of dollars to local nonprofits and community organizations each year.

The 5-mile race is Connecticut’s premier 5-mile race and continues to host State’s 5-Mile Championship. Many of Connecticut’s top distance runners will compete in Branford on Father’s Day.
