Coastal chic is the look of the season. For inspiration, don’t miss this year’s runway show presented by Branford Arts and Cultural Alliance, proudly supported by presenting sponsor PS Fine Stationers—who will also be featured in the show. The event includes celebrity emcee John “Cadillac” Saville and standout styles for women, men, and children from top local shops including Allusions, Gentlemen’s Social, Possessions, Rags, and Splash.
Dinner and cash bar. Arrive early to enjoy light refreshments, browse our silent auction, and take in the club’s stunning dockside views of Long Island Sound.
Proceeds from this annual event supports BACA Gallery &amp; Scholarship Fund.

 (1934), an American pre-Code comedy-mystery directed by W. S. Van Dyke 
and based on the 1934 novel by Dashiell Hammett. The film stars William 
Powell and Myrna Loy as former detective Nick Charles and his wealthy 
wife Nora, who investigate a murder case, mostly for the fun of it. The 
film was nominated for the Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best 
Director, Best Actor and Best Adaptation.&nbsp;

The FLS Foundation, based in East Haven, Connecticut, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to one simple but powerful mission: Every child should have an opportunity to enjoy his or her Little League baseball or softball experience.
We are pleased to invite you to our inaugural sponsorship event on Thursday, May 21st for an exciting evening featuring a silent auction with a wide variety of popular and exciting items. The event will be held at The American Legion on Bradley Road in Madison from 6-9PM. 
This special evening is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families throughout Connecticut. The FLS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to raise money to support families that need financial assistance to enroll their children in little league baseball and softball programs. The Foundation offers to pay for Little League registrations in towns across Connecticut, along with subsidizing other registrations on an as-needed and as-requested basis. We work directly with local leagues to ensure that scholarships are awarded to children in need, helping to remove financial barriers and create lasting opportunities.
Your presence and participation will directly support our mission and help us continue to expand access to youth sports across our communities. This can be accomplished by community members such as yourself who are willing to provide these opportunities for children whose families may have financial barriers that limit their ability to participate.

New Haven Ballet Presents The Sleeping Beauty at the Shubert Theatre
This spring, New Haven Ballet invites audiences across Greater New Haven to experience the magic of classical ballet with The Sleeping Beauty, coming to the historic Shubert Theatre on Saturday, May 23 at 1:00 p.m.
Perfect for young audiences and longtime dance lovers alike, this enchanting production brings Princess Aurora’s beloved story to life through storybook magic and the sweeping score of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Thoughtfully adapted for today’s audiences, the performance offers a welcoming introduction to ballet while keeping all the beauty and wonder that has made this fairytale a classic for generations.
The heart of this production is the dancers themselves.
Students ages 4 to 18 will take the stage after months of dedication and artistic growth, sharing a performance that celebrates not only technique, but creativity, confidence, and joy. For many young performers, it’s a meaningful milestone and a chance to experience the excitement of live theater together.
For more than 40 years, New Haven Ballet has helped young dancers grow both on and off the stage, with many students continuing on to prestigious summer intensives, conservatories, and professional dance careers.
In addition to The Sleeping Beauty, the program will feature contemporary and Broadway inspired works, along with performances by the School’s Shared Ability artists. Together, the pieces reflect New Haven Ballet’s commitment to creating a space where every dancer can learn, grow, and shine.
Artistic Director Lisa Kim shares, “This performance is a chance for our students to come together and share what they have been working toward all year. We hope it inspires everyone in the audience.”
Following the performance, children and families are invited to meet the fairies from the ballet, a magical moment younger audience members won’t soon forget.
With a running time of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission, the performance is ideal for both first time balletgoers and devoted fans of dance.

Branford Scouting (Cub Pack 633, Troop 633/1633 & Venturing 633)

Branford Scouting has been building citizenship, leadership skills, and a spirit of adventure in youth for over 10 years, serving ages 5–20 through four dynamic programs. Through experiential learning, Branford scouts experience adventures from ice climbing to sailing in the Florida Keys, with campouts all year round for our older scouts. Our commitment to country is reflected in where we meet—serving our veterans at Branford’s VFW Post 12106—and through meaningful experiences like our recent trip to Washington, D.C., where scouts participated in the Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery and presented a wreath in honor of our fallen heroes. Our younger Cub Scouts also demonstrate patriotism by marching in parades and placing flags at cemeteries, just like their older peers. They enjoy fun and discovery at weekly meetings and through memorable outings, such as an overnight at the Norwalk Maritime Center, sleeping aboard the World War II battleship USS Massachusetts, and exploring the EcoTarium museum.
