Chipotle Moves Closer To Branford Opening

BRANFORD, CT – A sure sign that Chipotle is getting close to opening near the entrance to Wal-Mart is the sign is up in front of the building. The location, 2 Commercial Parkway, used to be the home of a Subway shop and other smaller shops, but Chipotle has taken over the entire location. Work has been undergoing at the location for months.

The new Chipotle will include a sit-down restaurant and outdoor patio. There also will be no drive-through window. The plans all for the restaurant to front facing Commercial Parkway rather than Route 1, which is where the old restaurants fronted.

There are 20 other Chipotle restaurants in Connecticut, including ones in nearby New Haven, Hamden, West Haven, and Milford.

Chipotle has over 2,000 restaurants in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and France, specializing in tacos and burritos.
