Comey Gets Children's Champion Award From CT Early Childhood Alliance
Comey was recognized for ensuring child care centers can stock, and administer, epinephrin to kids who may have a first allergic reaction.

HARTFORD, CT — State Rep. Robin Comey (D- Branford) was presented with the Children's Champion Award by the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance this week, according to her office. The award recognizes people who've made "significant contributions to improving the lives of young children in Connecticut."
"Representative Comey has long worked on early childhood issues and this year we recognize her for her work to allow child care centers to stock and administer epinephrine," Executive Director of the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance Merrill Gay was quoted as saying in a news release. "That way if a child has their first allergic reaction at child care, the program can administer potentially life-saving care before an ambulance can arrive."
Comey was one of 25 elected officials to earn this distinction. She has been actively involved in promoting early childhood education and development throughout her career, it was noted in a news release from the legislator.
