Controversial Cell Tower Project Pulled For Now in Branford
Local residents opposed the construction of a 134-foot cell tower.

Branford resident Matt Gilman called it a “victory for the people,” as a proposed 134-foot cell tower for 45 Rose Hill Road has been scrapped at least for now, reports the New Haven Register.
Residents had rallied to oppose the tower, which they said would have destroyed property values.
The tower was proposed by AT&T and Tower Co. and a company representative said the tower was needed to improve cell service in the area, which local residents said was nonsense.
