Crowd of Over 3,000 Runners Expected at the Branford Road Race!

Branford, CT: The 37th annual Branford Road Race takes place on Father’s Day, June 18 at the Branford Green! Race organizers expect a crowd of over 3,000 runners & walkers to take part in the 5-Mile Race, 2-Mile Health Walk and 1-Mile Kids Fun Run. The race kicks off the final day of the Branford Festival, a community celebration that attracts thousands of people. The event is one of Connecticut’s top running events and one of the nation’s only 5-mile races.

Runners & walkers can enjoy live music and aid stations along all courses. All 5-Mile and 2-Mile participants receive tech tees. Children receive cotton shirts. After the races, participants can join the post-race brunch offering a choice of a breakfast sandwich or a pancake breakfast. Participants and spectators are invited to continue the Father’s Day celebration at the Stony Creek Brewery. Tickets for the Stony Creek Brewery Post-Race Celebration are available for $10 that includes beer and pizza from Marco Pizzeria.

The Branford Road Race is teaming up with Connecticut Advocates for Parkinson’s and Medtronic to host the 2nd annual Healthy Brain Workshop. The Healthy Brain Workshop discusses today’s cutting edge research in Parkinson’s Disease, Deep Brain Stimulation surgery and new & exciting drug therapy.
