CT State FOP Endorses Branford Republican For State Senate Dist. 12

FOP said Paul Crisci will put "best interests of law enforcement" 1st, as it's "suffered the last year with the police accountability bill."

BRANFORD, CT — Republican candidate for State Senate District 12, Paul Crisci, was endorsed by the Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police.

“There is no doubt that you will put the best interests of law enforcement and your constituents first," Det. Sgt. John Krupinsky, President of the Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police, wrote in a letter, per the Crisci campaign. "Connecticut's law enforcement has suffered the last year with the police accountability bill."

"I believe that you are the best candidate to move the safety and security of this state forward,” Danbury officer Krupinsky wrote.

District 12 represents East Haven, Branford, North Branford, Guilford, Madison, Durham, Killingworth, and Middlefield.

“I am very proud to receive this endorsement,” Crisci. said in an emailed statement. “I’m looking forward to working on mending fences with the divisiveness that is happening across the country with police and the public."

Crisci said the state has a "public safety issue." He said officials "are too quick to be reactive, rather than solve problems effectively."

"Police and leadership need to sit down together, address the issues, and come up with common sense solutions, which is what I will do if elected." he said. "The men and women in law enforcement need our support so that they can selflessly protect and serve our community.”

Crisci, the GOP-endorsed candidate for state Senate District 12, is a Branford residen. His campaign said he's an "honest, faith-based, family centric, and a business owner."
