CT TV Weatherman Overwhelmed by Response To News of His Departure
Kevin Arnone tells his followers on Facebook that he is extremely grateful for all the good wishes as his last day at Channel 8 nears.

NEW HAVEN, CT - WTNH-TV weatherman Kevin Arnone says he's been "overwhelmed with everyone's outpour in love, support and well wishes" since news came out that he would be leaving the news station on Jan. 17th.
Arnone took to Facebook to thank all the well wishers who commented on the news that he, along with reporter Renee Chimel will both leaving Channel 8 on Jan. 17th.
Here is what Arnone said: "Trust me, I've read every comment and message from you guys. In lack of better words, it's "pretty cool" knowing I've impacted so many of you over the past couple of years just doing what I love to do!"

Arnone went on: "Don't worry, I'm NOT leaving the business and my page will remain active no matter what the future brings me. Hope you will continue to follow."
Arnone and Chimel’s pending departure are two of a series of major changes at Channel 8 over the past few months.

In October of last year, longtime Connecticut meteorologist Joe Furey joined the weather team at Channel 8, being given the title of Co-Chief Meterologist.
Also in October, Sarah Cody, former features reporter at Fox 61, joined WTNH as a reporter and fill-in host.
And later that same month, former NBC Connecticut reporter George Colli also jointed WTNH to its news gathering team.
