David Talmadge and Jessica Hinckley Receive Central Connecticut Coast YMCA Volunteer Awards

The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA recently presented Y Volunteer of the Year Awards to David Talmadge of Hamden, CT and Jessica Hinckley of North Branford, CT, for their commitment to the Soundview Family YMCA, a branch of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA. The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA Volunteer of the Year Award is a way to honor the generosity and dedication of the best of the best. The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA has more than 1,048 volunteers across our service area. Their kindness is the core of our existence, playing a critical role in carrying out our mission. Dave Talmadge has been a part of the Y for close to ten years. He began by volunteering at the Hamden/North Haven Y and YMCA Camp Hi-Rock. For the past three years, he’s been with the Soundview Family Y. He is always there to lend a helping hand and to offer assistance. He actively participates in all special events and all workdays. He is committed individual with a passion for serving others who is well respected at the Soundview Family Y. Jessica Hinckley, daughter Ed and Diane Hinckley is an asset the Soundview Family Y swim program where she is a volunteer assistant swim teacher. As a senior member of the swim team, she is more than capable of leading preschool children all the way through to our more advanced classes. Students enjoy her personality and are motivated by her style. She is warm, nurturing and comforts the scared or timid swim lesson participant.
