Demolition Of Former Atlantic Wire Factory Site To Begin, Will Lead to Road Closure

BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Building Department announced that it is anticipating the issuance of a demolition permit for the property known as 1 Church Street, formally known as the Atlantic Wire Factory.

The demolition is expected to commence on our about July 1 and continue through September. A portion of Meadow Street between Church Street and Montowese Avenue is expected to be closed and limited to local access only for a period of time during demolition.

Detour signs will be placed directing traffic around the site on an as needed basis.
