BRANFORD, CT — Every duck has their day. And Thursday, it's a good thing that Branford police Officer Glifort was looking out for a mama duck and her ducklings as they crossed the street.
"Had a very dramatic rescue today," police posted. "Officer Glifort had witnessed some ducklings and their mom attempting to cross East Main st. She decided to standby in case they needed help to get across. But in a dramatic twist, three ducklings fell down the grate! Unable to reach them herself she called for our fire department who responded to help and all three ducklings were rescued and sent on their way. Thank you Branford Fire!"
