East Shore District Health To Recognize Community Volunteers
The East Shore District will be recognizing volunteers at a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner Tuesday, Nov. 19.

BRANFORD, CT — The East Shore District will be recognizing volunteers at a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The health department says in a press release that it "wants to thank the volunteers that worked with staff in the past year on various important projects from Climate Change projects to Water Quality projects with Short Beach residents to the effects of using a Solar Electric Pump-out Boat to Volunteer Medical Reserve Corp nurses who provided flu vaccinations to many of our residents."
Set to be held at :30 p.m. at HOME restaurant, state legislators, local leaders and East Shore board members will attend.

“These volunteers are community members who chose to help their community, not for money, but because they feel a call to service to better their communities and we want to say ‘Thank You!’ in a big way.” East Shore health director Michael Pascucilla said.
These volunteers are role-models in our community and we hope that the entire community can recognize them, the health district noted.
