Benefit for Read to Grow at the Kate

The Roxanne Show takes the stage at the Katherine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook.

Tickets are $25.00 and available by calling “The Kate” at 877-503-1286, online at www.thekate.org, or in person at The Kate box office window.

VIP tickets are available for $75 and include a pre-event reception with James Stewart and Roxanne Coady.

Proceeds from the evening’s event will benefit Read to Grow, a Branford based nonprofit organization with a mission of improving early literacy for all Connecticut children by providing books, helping families share books with their babies starting at birth, encouraging language development, and promoting an awareness of literacy services.

The Roxanne Show is a book talk series, featuring a stimulating dialogue between renowned authors and Roxanne Coady, owner of RJ Julia in Madison in a rare intimate setting.

Tonight's inaugural performance will feature Pulitzer Prize winner James B. Stewart, author of the newly released TANGLED WEBS. Mr. Stewart is the author of Disney War and Heart of a Solider, the bestselling Blind Eye and Blood Sport, and the blockbuster Den of Thieves. A former Page One editor at the Wall Street Journal, Stewart won a Pulitzer Prize in 1988 for his reporting on the stock market crash and insider trading. Additionally Mr. Stewart is a regular contributor to SmartMoney and the New Yorker.
