Tapas Reception


Enjoy an evening Tapas Reception at Delia, the Viking Center of New England, 4 Laser Road, Wallingford.

This extraordinary culinary affair will feature Jane Stern, co-author of dozens of cookbooks and best known for her “Roadfood” series and “Roadfood” column in Gourmet Magazine. Stern has contributed substantially to America’s constantly evolving culinary scene.

Emmy-winning TV journalist and author Diane Smith will emcee the reception.

In addition to an exciting silent auction, guests will enjoy complimentary wine and indulge in delicious tapas prepared by some of Connecticut’s most well-respected chefs:

• Daniel Chong Jimenez, Norwich Inn & Spa, Norwich

• Manuel Romero, Ibiza, New Haven

Wiley Mullins, author of “Salad Makes the Meal” and founder of Uncle Wiley’s, a gourmet salad toppings and spice line, will prepare a tempting salad bar.

The dessert station theme is “Roadfood,” and will feature delectable desserts from Stern’s books.

All participants will receive Stern’s book, “Two for the Road,” and will have an opportunity for a book signing.

The Gateway Community College Foundation will use all net proceeds from this event to support Gateway students.

The ticket price for the Tapas Reception is $85 per person.
