Family Child Care Business Class Beginning Oct. 4th

Considering a career in childcare? Are you an entrepreneur? We provide the tools and knowledge to successfully manage a business.

All Our Kin and Branford Early Childhood Collaborative have partnered to offer a free 10-week Business Series for operating a Family Child Care business. This program is aimed toward equipping family child care providers with the tools and knowledge that they need to successfully manage their businesses. This program is open to individuals interested in beginning a Family Care business or have an established business currently operating. Graduation from the Business Series then qualifies you for one-on-one business consulting and the zero-interest loan program through All Our Kin.

The Business series will include an overview of the following topics:

  • Child care contracts and policies
  • Effectively setting prices
  • Defining services and developing business concept
  • Marketing strategies
  • Taxes and special rules for family child care businesses
  • Accounting systems
  • Other business considerations.

The program is being offered in Branford beginning on Wednesday October 4th and is open to anyone across the shoreline and region. Each class runs from 6pm-9pm and participants must attend at least 8 trainings to graduate. This class will be taught in English.

Location: Trinity Episcopal Church 1109 Main St. (Parish Hall)

Dates: Beginning Wednesday October 4th and ends on December 13th. No class will be held on November 22nd.
