Good Samaritan Rescues 90-Year-Old From Fire In Branford: Report
The fire occurred this morning and the house was badly damaged in the blaze.
BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Fire Department battled a house fire at 67 Cedar Street Tuesday morning, according to the New Haven Register. A good samaritan, Shawn Thayler, rushed into the house and rescued a 90-year-old man who was inside the burning building, Fox 61 reports.
Thayler kicked in the door in an effort to rescue the elderly man, Fox reports. A second person also escaped the fire. No one was injured. The house was badly damaged in the fire, the Register reports.
