Firefighters Battled Blaze On Cottage Street
The roof of a house on Cottage Street in Branford collapsed as firefighters battled a blaze in the two-story home.
BRANFORD, CT — Firefighters are battling a blaze in a two-story house at 19 Cottage Street. It's reported the roof has collapsed.
Eversource cut power to the house. Mutual aid was called in to assist.
Nearly an hour after it was reported, firefighters reported they had the fire under control.

"Good job, everyone," command could be heard saying on emergency radio.
Just before 9 a.m., power was going to be turned back on for the neighborhood as firefighters canvassed the area for homeowners that might have security cameras.

Branford Fire Chief Tom Mahoney told Patch that the house is "uninhabitable" but there were no injuries: "Everyone is safe."
