Firefighters Extinguish House Fire in Branford

BRANFORD, CT — Branford, East Haven and Guilford fire departments helped extinguish a Monday morning basement fire at 15 Gentile Place, the Branford Fire Department said on social media.

The fire began at 2 a.m. and did considerable damage to the basement. Everyone inside the house was able to make it outside to safety, the Fire Department said. The American Red Cross is assisting the occupants.

Branford was assisted by East Haven Firefighters Local 1205 and Guilford Fire Department. The last crews cleared the scene just after 4 a.m.
