Former Parks & Rec Director Alex Palluzzi, Jr., Honored At Sports Media Alliance 83rd Gold Key Dinner

Palluzzi received the 2026 John Wentworth Good Sport Award for "Unselfish Dedication to Sports in the Community."

BRANFORD, CT—At the Connecticut Sports Media Alliance 83rd Gold Key dinner Sunday, former Parks & Recreation director Alex Palluzzi, Jr., received the 2026 John Wentworth Good Sport Award for Unselfish Dedication to Sports in the Community.

The event, held at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, also saw Palluzzi with Bill O'Brien, a former Good Sport Award winner and also a recipient of the 1999 Gold Key Award.

O’Brien and Palluzzi are the co-founders of the Branford Sports Hall of Fame. Begun in 1988, it's been a staple in the community for over 35 years.
