BRANFORD, CT — On Independence Day, you can count on one thing for sure: firecrackers popping non-stop.

Another thing that's like clockwork is the cautions from police and first responders. Fireworks are dangerous. And that sparklers burn at 1,800 degrees is, well, wow.
