Free Diabetes Self-Management Program in Branford

This 6-week program, meets every Monday for 2 hours and is intended for people diagnosed with Diabetes and Pre-diabetes.

From ESDHD: The East Shore District Health Department, in conjunction with the South-Central Area on Aging, is conducting a Diabetes Self-Management Program at the East Shore District Health Department in Branford starting on January 22nd.

This 6-week program, meets every Monday for 2 hours and is intended for people diagnosed with Diabetes and Pre-diabetes and for people who take care of people with those conditions. This program will run from 10am-12pm every Monday beginning January 22nd for 6 weeks.

Topics that will be covered include: understanding common symptoms, eating well, managing your medications, using your mind to manage symptoms, exercising for fun and fitness, communicating with your healthcare team, and becoming a self-manager of your own health. The program is free of charge, but register soon as the class size is limited.
