Future Of One Of Branford's Catholic Churches Uncertain: Report
The Archdiocese of Hartford is considering the move due to declining attendance.

BRANFORD, CT — St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Branford might close in the future, under a statewide consolidation plan by the Archdiocese of Hartford, reports the Branford Seven.
The Burban Drive-based church is one of three Catholic churches in town, the others being St. Therese and St. Mary’s, both of which would remain open but as one parish. Archdiocese officials are considering the consolidation due to declining attendance.
If the plan moves forward, the archdiocese might sell the St. Elizabeth's property or use it for another function, according to officials. A final decision on the plan is expected next month.
