'Get The Shot:' Town Green Vaccine Clinics Friday, Saturday 10-2
East Shore District Health & Griffin Health vaccine clinics are in partnership with the town, Blackstone Memorial Library and Trinity Church

BRANFORD, CT — East Shore District Health Department and Griffin Health have partnered with the town of Branford, the James Blackstone Memorial Library, and Trinity Episcopal Church to offer two COVID-19 vaccine clinics this Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day on the Branford Town Green between Town Hall and Trinity Church.
Open to all, the clinics will have all three vaccines available.
The Pfizer vaccine requires two shots; just the first one is provided. That vaccine is available for anyone age 12 and up. Ages 12 to 16 requires a parent/guardian to be present. People age 17 must have a parent or guardian signature.

The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available for ages 18 and older. J&J is one shot, Moderna requires a second shot.
Also, Pfizer boosters shots will be available to those who meet the criteria; age 65 and up or age 18 and up with underlying conditions or increased risk. The second dose needs to have been done at least six months ago.

Pfizer and Moderna third doses for the immunocompromised are available, but those individuals will just need to sign a form attesting their immunocompromised status.
There are no boosters or additional doses are available for J&J or anyone under the age of 18.
