Gov. Malloy to Appear in Branford Friday

Malloy and other lawmakers will be celebrating the completion of the new train station project in town.

BRANFORD, CT — On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Connecticut Department of Transportation Commissioner James P. Redeker, State Senator Ted Kennedy Jr., State Representative Lonnie Reed, and State Representative Sean Scanlon at a ceremony in Branford to celebrate the opening of the newly renovated train station in the town, which provides commuters with access to the Shore Line East commuter rail service.

Recently completed renovations include a new north side platform and canopy, a new elevator and stairs, new accessible ramps, and a new pedestrian overpass, officials said.
