GUILFORD, CT — A 41-year-old Branford man was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree possession of child pornography, according to the Guilford Police Department.
Matthew Norman was arrested without incident at his place of work in Branford, police said in a news release. He was given a court-set bond of $250,000 and is scheduled to be arraigned at New Haven Superior Court on Thursday.
Guilford police launched an investigation in January after the department was contacted by the Plainville Police Department with information on a child pornography case. Police said the case was initially linked to Guilford, but through search warrants it was determined to be in Branford.
