'Hamilton' Resident Director Hannah Ryan Directs Reimagined Wizard of Oz at Legacy Theatre
The classic L. Frank Baum story, The Wizard of Oz, runs July 9 through August 9 at The Legacy Theatre in Stony Creek.

BRANFORD, CT — Theatre director Hannah Ryan, the Broadway resident director of the celebrated musical Hamilton, leads a reimagining of The Wizard of Oz at The Legacy Theatre this summer, the Stony Creek theatre announced.
Ryan will be reenvisioning this classic L. Frank Baum story.
The intimate setting of Legacy Theatre poses unique creative opportunities for telling this famed tale. But with that comes a chance to surprise the audience with innovative elements they have not seen before.

The cast includes Rod Brogan, Jimmy Donohue, Lucas Dylan, Olivia Fenton, Rick Fountain Jr, Nicholas Futris, Fletcher Hooten, Sarah Anne Hughes, Annika Jonker, Sophia Nardone, Madeline Olexy, Jenna Ptachcinski, Charles Romano, Ron St. John III, and Garrett Van Allen.

About The Legacy Theatre
The Legacy Theatre is conveniently located just four minutes off Exit 56, I-95, at 128 Thimble Islands Road, in the Stony Creek Village of Branford, Connecticut, steps from the Long Island Sound.
The Legacy Theatre is a fully accessible nonprofit professional theatre and training center along the Connecticut shoreline.
The theatre, fully renovated prior to its opening in 2021, is housed in the former Stony Creek Puppet Theatre, a building with more than a century of rich history that includes performances by Orson Welles and, in 2024, a musical directed by Julie Andrews.
