Handle Associates Goes Global

Handle Associates Learning Center has had a “brick and mortar” presence in Guilford for twenty years, serving students from at least a dozen towns around the state. For the past few years, Handle Associates has broken free of geographical restrictions by utilizing technology to provide private tutoring to students from more distant Connecticut towns as well as other states, such as Massachusetts, Maine, and New York.

Laura I. Maniglia, owner and director, is now proud to announce that Handle Associates has expanded the learning center’s reach to international students. She is currently working with a student who lives several hours from Shanghai, China. They have “screen-to-screen” meetings weekly. She also a uses a variety of computer technologies to send and receive assignments and correct homework.

As long as students have access to a computer with WiFi and Skype or FaceTime, they can benefit from customized instruction. Distance learning is available for Language Arts/Writing, English as a Second Language, Test Preparation (SAT, ACT, SSAT, etc.) and math.
